We are seeking a skilled Windows Server Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Windows Server environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and permissions.
- Configure and manage DHCP and DNS services to support network operations.
- Implement and maintain TCP/IP networking protocols for seamless connectivity.
- Oversee firewall configurations and VPN setups to ensure secure remote access.
- Utilise PowerShell and Bash (Unix shell) for automation of routine tasks.
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration as needed.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, or network connectivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server administration with hands-on experience in virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles including TCP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux systems is advantageous.
- Experience with SQL databases and Python scripting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical staff.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues and optimising system performance.
