Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?

As a Utilization Review Coordinator (UR Coordinator), you'll advocate for our patients, ensuring they receive the best care possible by liaising with external case managers and managed care organizations to certify and recertify insurance benefits. You'll assist our treatment team in understanding insurance requirements for continued stay and discharge planning and maintain a thorough understanding of patient treatments through constant communication with the team. You will advocate for patient access to services during treatment team meetings and individual physician contact and lead treatment team meetings and continued stay reviews as indicated. Your role is key in guiding patients through their treatment journey and discharge planning, making a real difference every day!

• Review treatment plans and advocate for additional services.
• Promote effective use of resources for patients.
• Maintain contact with physicians and team members.
• Collaborate on continued stay and discharge planning.
• Ensure patients are placed in appropriate care levels.
• Document case management activities and track insurance reviews.
• Provide patient status updates and insurance requirements to staff.
• Manage the insurance appeals process and coordinate discharge plans.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

• Education & Education:  Degree in nursing, social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: At least two (2) years experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company, with expertise in patient assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, utilization management, and/or case management.

Compensation:

This is a full-time role, and the expected compensation range is based upon experience, starting at $53,000 to $60,000 annually $2,000 sign-on bonus! We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level.
