Certified Med Tech

General Description: Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, the Med Tech is responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the Facility to meet the physical, psychosocial, and rehabilitation needs of the residents.

Shift Needed: 7P-7A Full Time

Must have 2 years of experience as a Med Tech in Long Term Care Experience and Must be a Certified Med Tech

Essential Duties:

The Med Tech

• Contributes to Facility quality assessment and improvement initiatives.
• Administers and monitors resident medications per physician’s orders.
• Maintains accurate medication administration records.
• Verifies medication cart is secure and clean. Secures narcotics per Facility policy and state regulations.
• Communicates status of residents to incoming personnel according to established procedures at shift change.
• Performs medication inventory at the beginning and end of the shift with another med tech and immediately notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
• Communicates status of residents, new admissions, scheduled appointments, assigned baths, and other individualized patient instructions to certified nursing assistant staff at shift change.
• Verifies resident rooms are clean and organized

We're hiring for 2 Med Techs 7am-7pm and 2 med techs 7pm-7am.
