Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting, focusing on acute illness and injury management. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Hours are M-F 8a-5p
Pay is to be determined based off experience.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Manage acute pain effectively using evidence-based practices.
- Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Provide critical care interventions as needed for patients presenting with severe conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Offer hospice palliative medicine services to patients requiring end-of-life care.
- Implement infection control measures and maintain sterile processing protocols within the clinic.
- Assist in the management of gastroenterology-related issues as they arise in urgent care settings.
- Prescribe durable medical equipment (DME) as necessary for patient recovery.
- Adhere to established standards of practice while providing infectious disease care.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with relevant state licensure.
- 1 year experience in urgent care required.
- Proficiency in acute pain management, aseptic techniques, infection control, and sterile processing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with gastroenterology practices and infectious disease management will be considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential for success in this role.
