Cart/Range Attendant– PT Position
Lake of the Pines Homeowners Association (LOP) is accepting resumes for the position of Cart/Range Attendant. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined to be able to work on minor mechanical issues with the golf carts. To start, the current shift is 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday each week. Other shifts may be available and assigned as the business needs demand and seasons change.
Lake of the Pines is a 2,000-home gated private community located in the foothills of Northern California between the towns of Auburn and Grass Valley. Among its numerous amenities, the community boasts of a 230-acre private lake and a 19-hole golf course as two of its prime amenities. This is a PT, hourly position with a starting salary of $15.50/hour and facility use privileges including discounted golf and meals at our restaurants, as well as use of swimming pool, beaches, parks, and tennis courts. Pre-employment background search (if applicable) required following conditional offer of employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter the driving range and pick up golf balls. Wash golf balls and return them to range baskets.
- Rotate range mats as directed to keep equal usage on all four sides.
- Pick up all driving range baskets and bring them to the golf shop before the shop closes.
- When washing range balls, remove any balls that are not Limited Flight Range Balls.
- Check in front of the pro shop for grass and debris and sweep when needed.
- Clean golf carts (interior and exterior) and charge and maintain batteries daily.
- At the end of every shift, count and verify all carts are accounted for in barn or at shop and rotate usage sign to maintain equal wear.
- When required, tow inoperable carts from Golf Course to Maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Driver’s License in Good Standing.
- Mechanically inclined with some mechanical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
