Early Childhood Aide (multiple positions)

Candidate must be flexible to work 6:30am-6:00pm, in different locations, weekly schedule determined by program need. 25 hours per week, school year only - multiple positions available

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Early Childhood, Child Development Credential or related field
• Training in High Scope Curriculum preferred
• Ability to work effectively with pre-school and school age children, parents, and co-workers
• Awareness of child development theory and practices
• Ability to treat children with kindness and respect
• Self-motivated, dependable and responsible
• Must be available and able to perform functions of the job
• CPR, First Aide Certificate preferred
• Good attendance record

Job Duties:

• Assist in the instruction of pre-school and school age children
• Develop daily schedule of activities and lessons
• Respond quickly to emergency situations
• Available and responsive to all children
• Treats all children of all ages, races, religions family backgrounds and cultures with equal respect and consideration
• Anticipates and eliminates potential problems, redirecting children to more acceptable behavior or activity
• Guide children in resolving conflicts by modeling skills that help children to solve their individual problems
• Lift a minimum of 40 lbs
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
