The Exercise Physiologist provides patient services. Assists with day to day clinical operations of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Phases II and III.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology or Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science.
Experience: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification as a Certified Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine required within 18 months from date of hire in position. ACLS Certification upon hire. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology.
Experience: One (1) year recent Exercise Physiologist work experience in a hospital/clinic cardiology or cardiac rehabilitation setting.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification as a Certified Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine upon hire.

Demonstrated knowledge in principles of exercise, use of exercise equipment and development of an exercise prescription. Demonstrated communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
