The Recreation Ambassador is the face of the lakefront and lodge experience at Lake San Marcos. In this highly interactive and guest-facing role, you are responsible for creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment across our recreational amenities—including the marina, lake, courts, and member areas. Ambassadors are expected to maintain a professional and upbeat demeanor while assisting guests, enforcing lake policies, and supporting daily operations both on land and water.

THE DUTIES OF A RECREATION AMBASSADOR INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

• Greet guests and members warmly and assist with recreation and marina check-ins and reservations.

• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with inquiries regarding bookings, memberships, and events.

• Prep guests before launching with rules, safety procedures, and guidelines for their chosen lake activity.

• Verify membership and issue appropriate access passes using club management software.

• Maintain a clean and organized environment across all recreation areas, including the marina shack, boat docks, courts, and lakefront spaces.

• Clean and detail all water vessels and assist with deep cleanings for private boats upon request.

• Perform daily inspections of property for safety, repairs, or liability issues.

• Assist with lake and dock clean-up, including trash removal and canal maintenance.

• Take recreation court reservations and monitor courts for member verification.

• Log and report maintenance needs for equipment, rental vessels, and shared spaces.

• Support member marina slip services, such as boat covering/uncovering and special cleaning requests.

• Operate or learn to operate marine vessels safely and responsibly.

• Communicate daily with management regarding updates, concerns, and team support.

• Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management.

• 
  Ability to remain professional and approachable at all times.

• Maintain composure and courtesy in high-traffic guest areas.

• Strong multitasking and time management skills.

• Comfortable with physical tasks (must be able to lift 75 lbs).

• Team player with a flexible, solutions-driven mindset.

• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands.

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Willingness to learn and operate marine vessels.

• Previous hospitality, recreation, or guest service experience preferred.
