Pay Rate: Min $17.12 Mid $19.69 Position Summary
The Wall/Ceiling/Painting Mechanic is responsible for the overall maintenance of various architectural building features, including but not limited to flooring repairs and installations, surface preparation and finishes application, installation of wall and surface protection systems, matching and mixing of paints and or sealers, and general environment improvements. The position holder may be required to perform other duties as assigned, dependent upon department and customer needs and workload.

- Adheres to Infection Control During Construction permitting requirements.
- Builds, maintains, repairs, and finishes walls. Prepares surfaces and applies paint or sealers on various surfaces including floors, walls, and ceilings within inside and outside environments.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs ceiling systems ( acoustical and drywall).
- Properly protects surrounding surfaces and the environment prior to repair and application of finishes.
- Follows Safety Data sheet for proper personal protection for each product used.
- Responsible for completing work in a timely workman-like quality manor and for completing data entry into the electronic work order maintenance system.
- Responsible for inventory control, ordering and use of the hospital's materials procurement system.
- Maintains work environment and shop areas on a daily basis to provide a safe environment for all staff.
- Familiarity with fire smoke ratings, and fire stopping systems, with direct involvement in maintaining fire rated wall systems.
