What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Officer position at Lakeshire Police Department?

Duties

  • Patrol the City to detect and deter crime.
  • Interact with citizens to promote community relations.
  • Respond to calls for service.
  • Prepare essential paperwork as it pertains to your duty shift.

Qualifications

  • Must be high school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent, Bachelor Degree is preferred(not required).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must meet P.O.S.T. certification requirements and possess a valid certificate by date of appointment.
  • Have previous Police Officer experience 10 years(not required).
  • Be willing to work all shifts and fill in on short notice.

Salary

  • Starting pay $25.90 hour for part-time ( $1.00 hour differential for overnight hours), overtime pay for select holidays.
  • Uniform and Equipment provided by the Department.
  • Standard training provided and paid for by the Department.
