What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Officer position at Lakeshire Police Department?
Duties
- Patrol the City to detect and deter crime.
- Interact with citizens to promote community relations.
- Respond to calls for service.
- Prepare essential paperwork as it pertains to your duty shift.
Qualifications
- Must be high school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent, Bachelor Degree is preferred(not required).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
- Must meet P.O.S.T. certification requirements and possess a valid certificate by date of appointment.
- Have previous Police Officer experience 10 years(not required).
- Be willing to work all shifts and fill in on short notice.
Salary
- Starting pay $25.90 hour for part-time ( $1.00 hour differential for overnight hours), overtime pay for select holidays.
- Uniform and Equipment provided by the Department.
- Standard training provided and paid for by the Department.
