What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Lakeside Book Company?
As a Forklift Driver, you will:
- Operate of forklift, reach truck or bendy to move finished products to and from equipment and within a warehouse.
- Operate a Forklift, Order Picker and or Turret Truck to Pick full cartons for replenishment and order fulfillment.
- Will load and unload semi-trailer trucks
- Perform safety and maintenance checks on equipment
- Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment
- Organize and assign space to best utilize warehouse and in-process materials.
- Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
- Receive training to help advance your career

Qualifications:
- Experience in operating all facets of a forklift and/or a reach truck
- Strong spatial ability and judgment
- Ability to recognize and maintain forklift load balance
- Ability to internalize storage area layout to be able to find and place items
- Ability to drive equipment safely in close quarters
- Ability to exert 35-50 lbs of force occasionally, 15 to 35 lbs of force routinely
- Ability to learn to use a warehouse management system
