Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities within the construction sector. The Associate Project Manager will assist in coordinating projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects are executed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assisting in the creation of project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinating project activities with various stakeholders, including field staff, estimators, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Reviewing and managing work according to shop drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Overseeing bid packages and ensuring their correctness.
- Documentation and Administration:
- Managing project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and progress reports.
- Tracking and managing material and equipment purchase orders.
- Maintaining project logs and files.
- Preparing project closeout documents.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitoring project progress and identifying potential delays or issues.
- Tracking subcontractor performance.
- Providing updates to senior management on project status, quality, progress, variations, and client feedback.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Assisting in managing project budgets and tracking expenses.
- Overseeing budgets and project spending, creating necessary reports as required.
- Tracking, forecasting, and reporting labor hours and material costs.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Monitoring job site safety and taking action to address any deficiencies.
- Supporting the implementation of quality control measures to ensure project specifications are met.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicating among project team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Acting as a liaison between project managers, estimators, and teams.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize under pressure, and experience in project planning and execution.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems and design codes, construction documentation, and construction methodologies.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software such as Bluebeam, and Procore is often preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also essential.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, and strong client relationship management skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues that arise during projects.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
