Position: Family Partnership Specialist
Position Summary: The Family Partnership Specialist is responsible to work collaboratively with staff to develop Family Partnership Agreements for enrolled families. Family Partnership Agreements will identify and access services and resources that are responsive to each family’s needs, interests, and goals. The Family Partnership Specialist will maintain active partnerships with community agencies to support the accomplishment of each family’s goals. The Family Partnership Specialist will work with staff to maintain full enrollment and promote attendance for the Head Start and Early Head Start program. The Family Partnership Specialist will facilitate planning and implementation of the programs in accordance and compliance with all Federal and State regulations and standards pertaining to all programs including special grants. The Specialist will function in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications/ Expectations:
BA or AA Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field with experience preferred.
Must be willing to obtain a credential or certification earned within 18 months of their hire date.
Must have training and experience in working with young children and their families and demonstrate knowledge of community resources.
Experience working with at risk families who demonstrate multiple needs preferred.
Minimum of two years experience in a social service agency or comparable program preferred.
Must demonstrate knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the Head Start and Early Head Start program.
Must represent the agency in community partnerships and professional organizations.
Must possess good organizational skills involving consistency, flexibility and structure.
Computer skills required.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s license.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and be comfortable speaking in group settings.
Must work with all staff and families in a professional manner.
Must be willing to accept and share additional responsibilities to achieve team goals.
Must demonstrate a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Beginning Salary: Salary range $14.51-17.18 per hour based on education level
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week / 52 weeks per year
