What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance technician position at Land O'Frost?
Responsibilities
- Responsible for following all safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE when required
- Responsible for following all food safety, quality, and GMP procedures
- Meet daily with the Maintenance Supervisor to define daily priorities
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Assist with bench-work repairs to help maintain spare parts inventory
- Identify opportunities for decreasing variation and cost of operation in processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Assist with emergency response situations in the plant
- Comply with all plant safety and personnel policies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum two years’ mechanical maintenance and one-year industrial electrical experience required
- Experience working in confined areas with widely varying temperature conditions
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Electrical training preferred
- Ability to work weekends and overtime
- Experience using a CMMS / Work Order system.
Travel :
Physical Requirements
- Constant walking, bending, stooping, ladder climbing
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds at least four times per day
Schedule :
- 8 hour shift
- 1st shift availability
- 2nd shift availability
- 3rd shift availability
- Weekend availability
