ESTIMATOR & PRICING ANALYST
JOB DESCRIPTION
LANDAAL PACKAGING SYSTEMS – POP GRAPHICS DIVISION
DEPARTMENT: Corporate
REPORTS TO: VP of Sales & Marketing
The Estimator is responsible for being able to frequently estimate a number of types of customers’ projects across key product offering categories: corrugated packaging, retail packaging, Point of Purchase displays, high-graphic printing, and fulfillment/kitting programs. The ideal candidate will have the ability to accurately estimate customer projects across key product offerings, working in a time sensitive nature with structural design, project management, operations, and sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:

· Build up cost estimates by analyzing the materials and direct labor needed to manufacture a customer’s project.
· Prepare and present estimate documentations to Sales management and Sales Representatives using pricing software and processes.
· Read and interpret design specifications to determine build of material cost drivers. Contact designer and sales representative to gather missing/incomplete information required to price a job.
· Identify potential savings by working directly with corporate purchasing.
· Track and analyze estimating and pricing data to reduce gaps between quoted, job costing estimate, and actual job costs related to build of material and build of operations.
· May work with manufacturing operations on new or unique opportunities to ensure projects can be produced in house. May engage procurement on work that requires outside vendor to produce and establish cost basis.
QUALIFICATIONS

· Requires very good knowledge of general administrative/manufacturing procedures and knowledge of job specific processes for corrugated manufacturing, kitting and finishing operations, and contract packaging to successfully execute duties of the job.
· Ability to follow corporate policy and understand rules or regulations governing the work being completed, and impact work has on company financials.
· Preferred to have a very good understanding of EPICOR ERP, Harry Rohde Management Systems, Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access), and strong computer skills.
· Must have very good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental policies, methods and/or procedures when completing estimating and pricing assignments.
· Requires very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines and ability to coordinate phases of work with others (design, sales support, operations, and sales).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree or comparable number of years of relevant work experience. Bachelors of Science Business Administration in field of finance or management is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in estimating and/or corrugated and packaging industry.
Experience using EPICOR, Harry Rohde Management System is preferred. Experience using HRMS or Corrugated ERP management systems is preferred.
