The Clinic is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team!
Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing in-take procedures, obtaining medical history, and administering medication, and giving injections as needed.
Typical hours are Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with an occasional 4-hour shift on Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as drawing blood and collecting specimens
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Perform basic life support techniques when necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with medical coding practices and procedures
- Basic life support certification is required
- Experience with X-ray imaging and interpretation is a plus
Skills:
- Proficient in taking accurate vital signs measurements
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate coding and billing processes
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients in a hospital or clinical setting
