Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Grounds Care Team Leader to lead a production crew in delivering top-tier grounds maintenance services. This individual will set the tone for quality, safety, and professionalism while mentoring and coaching team members and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operations
- Lead a production crew in accordance with LANDFORM’s mission and core values.
- Plan and coordinate daily tasks to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct daily 5-minute morning meetings with the crew to review safety, values/devotions, and the day’s schedule.
- Train and coach crew members in equipment use, grounds care practices, and efficiency.
- Maintain clean, organized trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Monitor and report equipment maintenance needs.
Administrative & Technology
- Use ASPIRE (mobile system) to:
- Clock in/out the team
- Manage service tickets
- Input materials used
- Add job notes and review site details/documents
Customer & Quality Assurance
- Ensure each site is inspected before departure and meets LANDFORM standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and the Operations Manager.
- Identify and respond to customer needs or concerns.
Snow/Ice Management (Winter Season)
- Lead a snow plow route effectively, prioritizing based on site needs and weather conditions.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and support operators as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of proven experience in grounds care or landscaping.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 points (required for insurability).
- Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of grounds care equipment (e.g., stand-on mowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, skid loaders).
- Proficiency with smartphones and mobile job tracking software.
Preferred:
- Pesticide technician certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to troubleshoot small engine issues in the field.
- Continuing education (minimum 4 hours/year in landscaping or grounds disciplines).
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Strong reading and comprehension skills (labels, manuals, site plans).
- Basic math and spatial reasoning for measurements and materials tracking.
Schedule:
- Spring–Fall: 10–14 hrs/day, up to 45 hrs/week.
- Winter: Snow/ice management with flexible response times.

- Pay: $18-20/hour, based on experience.
