What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Landing?
About the Role:
As a Staff Accountant at Landing, you’ll be responsible for working with Operations, Finance and Accounting teams. You will be responsible for balance sheet and P & L review, as well as a critical role in adapting new processes as our company evolves.

What You’ll Do:
- Bank account reconciliations.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Journal entries and monthly accruals.
- Play a pivotal role in our month end close process.
- Review transactions to determine capitalization.
- Maintain a fixed asset register and track movement of assets.
- Review monthly P & L activity to ensure accuracy in coding, expense represented in the correct period, and explain changes to be reviewed by FPA and department heads.
What You Need:
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of accounting experience (project accounting a plus.)
- B.S. or B.A. degree in accounting or business-related degree or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
- Attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Must thrive in a teamwork setting and have excellent organizational skills.
- Advanced Excel skills
