WHO YOU ARE :

You are a strategic communicator that understands the importance of maintaining a functional and balanced business relationship with all film distribution partners. By ensuring our Theatre Teams are provided with the appropriate booking schedules, you act as a critical contributor working toward maximizing our potential box office for each theatre in its respective market. Working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, you provide support on all areas of the film booking and programming processes, meaning you're familiar with juggling priorities, accommodating for competing needs, and driving resolution. When you aren't partnering directly with our Theatre Teams, you're on the hunt for alternative content to bring to Movie Lovers, completing market research and analysis along the way. You are passionate about exceptional Guest service, organization and follow-upand you LOVE movies!

THE JOB : Location :

This position is a hybrid or remote working environment within Canada.

Alternative ContentOwn the Alternative Content programming for the circuit, responsible for meeting quarterly and annual targets, identifying new ways to grow the business, and monitoring results closely. Regularly report outcomes and new initiatives to the VP of Film Programming.Leads initiatives and projects that support the department as delegated by the VP, Content Programming, ensuring innovative and effective content strategies are in place.Collaborate with your region's corporate sales manager to strategically oversee the company's corporate sales rentals and alternative content programming for your designated territory, ensuring optimal alignment with both company and studio contracts.Proactively identify and analyze theatres and screens that may be committed to upcoming studio and alternative content, ensuring balanced screen allocation and avoiding overcommitment through expert planning and forecasting.

Film ProgrammingCultivate and sustain respectful relationships with all major and minor film distributors, focusing on diverse content offerings.Engage in regular and strategic communication with film studios to maximize opportunities for box office growth, emphasizing alternative and varied content in your identified markets and their respective theatres.Program theatres in your territory weekly, aiming to enhance box office metrics and provide guests with a broad spectrum of content, including first run, sub run, independent, Canadian, International, and alternative content.Attend screenings of new and upcoming films to evaluate and provide insightful reviews and recommendations to the team and organization, identifying potential successes for film exhibition and ensuring a diverse and appealing content lineup.Conduct regular market research and analysis to boost theatre box office performance, with a particular focus on alternative content, in your territory.

RequirementsSuccessful completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or Communication, preferred not requiredStrategic thinker with background in strategy and project management - engaged in finding solutions & efficienciesExcellent written, verbal and listening communication skillsExperience developing and maintaining fiscal planning documents (i.e. budgets and planning calendars)Mature and self-confident with the ability to work under pressureThrives in a fast paced, results orientated work environmentParticipation in leadership development programs or workshopsTheatre or Studio experience preferred but not requiredComfortable in providing / presenting recommendations / advice in areas of expertise
