We operate three premier entertainment venues in the Phoenix metro area — Lane Park Scottsdale, Recess Tempe (a hybrid event space, bar, and restaurant with games), and Lumberjaxes Westgate. We offer one-of-a-kind group experiences including axe throwing, ice curling, duckpin bowling, game show nights, private events, live shows, and more.

With unique concepts and high repeat customer rates, we’re growing fast — and we’re looking for an Inside Sales & Event Coordinator who’s ready to grow with us.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hitting the ground running to generate leads through community networking, outreach, and proactive sales efforts—no sitting back waiting for inquiries.
- Building strong, lasting partnerships with local businesses, sports leagues, schools, nonprofits, event planners, and more to position Recess as their go-to event venue.
- Developing and executing strategic outreach plans to grow group bookings across corporate, social, and private events.
- Creating compelling proposals and up selling event enhancements like catering, beverage packages, and branded experiences.
- Attending networking events, mixers, expos, and community activation's to stay top of mind and on top of your game.
- Re-engaging past clients and leads to drive re bookings and build long-term relationships.
- Tracking activity, contacts, and performance using CRM tools to measure success and optimise outreach efforts.

Up selling & Add-On Revenue
- Identify and convert opportunities for pre-sold catering and beverage packages, even for online or pre-booked groups
- Up sell experiences, catering, and beverage packages to maximise revenue per booking ADD
- Engage with existing clients post-booking to explore upgrades or added services
- Track up sell success and report revenue tied to catering add-ons or enhancements
- Encourage & Participate on-site meetings or client walk-troughs as needed to secure bookings and up sell add-ons
Repeat Business & Retention
- Proactively follow up with prior group clients to encourage repeat booking and cross-location experiences
- Execute Email & SMS Campaigns to re-engage lost opportunities, re-attract former bookings, etc ADD
- Use CRM tools to target lapsed clients with tailored follow-up or seasonal promotions
- Partner with the marketing team to develop light-touch outreach strategies aimed at retention
Lead Management & Internal Collaboration
- Utilise third-party event lead platforms (e.g. The Bash, Eventective, peerspace) to manage inbound sales opportunities
- Work with the marketing team to align promotional offerings with current group packages
- Maintain strong coordination with Venue Managers and Kitchen Managers to ensure smooth event delivery
Administrative & Communication
- Ensure all client communications, booking details, and revenue notes are accurately entered into the CRM
- Maintain Event Sales pipelines for all 3 locations
- Collaborate weekly with the Director of Sales & Marketing to review pipeline status and sales metrics
- Assist with occasional onsite event walk-throughs when necessary.

- Go High Level (GHL)
- HubSpot CRM
- ClickUp or other project/task management platforms
- Food & beverage or venue sales
- Familiarity with the Phoenix-area event/hospitality scene
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $50,000 annually
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000 annually
Commission: 1% on all group events closed by you (including catering/beverage upsells on online bookings not originally sourced by you)
Bonus: Not listed in offer but available based on team-wide success and performance reviews

Requirements
- 1 years in inside sales, event coordination, or hospitality sales
- Experience with CRM software (Go High Level, ClickUp, Hubspot preferred)
- Strong communication, follow-up, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple leads and deliver top-notch client experiences
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends depending on event needs
- Ability to commute to Scottsdale, Tempe and Westgate Locations, or relocate prior to start date
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time role with flexible hours based on inquiry flow
- Hybrid: Mostly remote, with occasional on-site presence
- Evening/Weekend responsiveness required for client communication
Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
Supplemental Pay: Bonus opportunities, Commission pay, Performance bonuses
