Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in using ServiceNow (SNOW) for basic asset management tasks, such as data gathering and organization related to SAM and HAM.
- Support the collection of requirements, items, and documentation for SAM/HAM implementations under guidance.
- Help manage aspects of the asset lifecycle, including inventory tracking and basic compliance checks.
- Contribute to transitioning project work into "run & maintain" operations, with hands-on learning.
- Collaborate with internal teams (including stakeholders like project leads) to assist in auditing inventories, tracking assets, and generating simple reports.
- Participate in ITAM projects under a fixed-fee Statement of Work (SOW) model, with opportunities for growth in long-term engagements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- ServiceNow (SNOW) Asset Management Familiarity: Basic knowledge or introductory experience with ServiceNow for asset management, including gathering and organizing data/items for SAM/HAM. Exposure through coursework, internships, or personal projects is a plus.
- IT Asset Management (ITAM) Background: Entry-level understanding of ITAM concepts, including planning, implementation, and operational phases. Some familiarity with asset lifecycle management, inventory tracking, compliance, and optimization through education or beginner roles.
- Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Knowledge: Basic understanding of managing software licenses, compliance, hardware inventories, data collection, auditing, and reporting. Willingness to learn and apply these skills on the job.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply), or equivalent entry-level experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, for effective collaboration and mentorship.
- Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as ServiceNow Fundamentals, ITIL Foundation, or similar (or in progress).
- Any internship or volunteer experience with managed service providers or in IT roles.
- Basic familiarity with tools and processes for asset auditing and reporting.
