JOB TITLE: Housekeeping Aide
RESPONSIBLE TO: Housekeeping Supervisor
JOB FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Clean resident’s rooms daily. Sweep and mop floors daily.
- Disinfect night stands, bed rails, over bed tables, trapezes, telephones, remotes, light switches, door handles, call lights, urinal holders, fall mats, over bed light, vents, chairs, window/sills, TV’s, picture frames and shelves and all other high touch areas.
- Hang up and take down cubical curtains
- Clean restrooms. Public and residents.
- Clean Spas and Attended Baths.
- Clean Storage Closets.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, rolls, multifold towels, tissues, hand sanitizer, etc. in the all areas as required.
- Weekly Dusting.
- Check plants and flowers daily, water if needed.
- Stocking Soiled and Clean Utilities.
- Washing lifts.
- Clean a unit after a resident has expired or discharged.
- Completion of a room change.
- Check spill buckets & cleaners in janitors closets daily; refill if needed. Cleaning janitor closet and filling all supplies daily.
- Stocking Attends daily.
- Spot clean carpets and chairs. Vacuuming carpeted areas
- Clean Dining Rooms / Day Rooms after each meal and empting trash. Cleaning / Sanitizing Dining room / Day Room Pod areas after breakfast and lunch or as needed throughout the day.
- Wash beds every 8 weeks.
- Make out maintenance orders using ECS. Reporting any necessary repairs.
- In all areas; keeping walls, baseboards and windows clean.
- Answering pages. Assisting with residents’ needs if qualified.
- Cleaning offices, charting rooms, med rooms, serenity room, cafeterias, attended baths and pantries.
- Dusting, cleaning fans and washing walls.
- Buffing floors.
- Scrubbing bathroom tiles.
- Transporting furniture during room changes/unit cleaning
- Daily / Weekly / Monthly Charting
- Cleaning front offices and lobby areas.
- Assist in making beds when needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

RISK EXPOSURE
- Tasks assigned to this position involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood or body fluids.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT
- Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes, as required.
- Attend and complete monthly mandatory in-services.
RESIDENTS RIGHTS
- Be aware of resident’s rights.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information.
- Knock before entering resident’s room and announce who you are
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Must be able to read, follow oral directions and writer legibly.
- Must be honest, trustworthy and possess tolerance for all individuals.
- Must be able to communicate with other departments.
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which include a medical and physical examination.
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
- Good Customer Service Skills, Reliable, Organization Skills.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate resident’s and the facility needs.
Salary : $16 - $17
