Description
The Diet Aide is responsible in assisting the cook in the preparation and service of meals to our employee's and patients. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to, preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, cleans and sanitizes the kitchen according to health standards and in accordance with the department’s policy/procedures. The diet aide will be directed by the Food Service director and/or lead cook, to ensure that quality food service is provided at all times.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in the related field is preferred.
- Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English, follow directions, work in a team setting, and complete tasks.
- General knowledge of nutrition and food safety/sanitation procedures.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 20 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
