Night Supervisor (Smart Suites, Smart Suites on the Hill & Holiday Inn Express)
Job Overview: We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Night Supervisor to oversee the operations of our three hotel properties (Smart Suites, Smart Suites on the Hill, and Holiday Inn Express) during the night shift. The Night Supervisor will be required to routinely check in at all three properties on the campus to ensure smooth guest check-ins and check-outs, manage guest inquiries, support night staff, and maintain security and safety standards. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to assist the maintenance team with any issues that may arise during the night shift.
Key Duties:
- Communicate effectively with team members across the three properties to address any issues or concerns during the shift.
- Ensure all guest check-ins and check-outs are handled efficiently, including processing payments, assigning rooms, and addressing special requests or concerns across all three properties.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and courteous manner to ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
- Monitor hotel security systems to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and hotel property.
- Perform property walk-throughs to ensure all areas of the hotel are secure, clean, and meet company standards.
- Communicate with the General Manager regarding the status of the hotels, any issues encountered, and provide detailed shift reports.
- Assist in managing staffing levels for the night shift.
- Ensure proper functioning of hotel equipment, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in guest rooms, public spaces, and staff areas, minimizing disruption to hotel operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address potential maintenance needs before they become urgent.
- Assist in the coordination of preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of hotel equipment and facilities.
- Routinely check the parking lot shared by the three properties to ensure orderly parking, cleanliness, and address any security concerns.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and maintenance processes is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
- Night shift hours typically from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
- This role will be based at the hotel front desk, with time spent in common areas of the hotel and the parking lot.
- Physical demands may include standing for extended periods, walking around the property, and light lifting (e.g., during inventory checks).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
