Job Summary and Qualifications
Responsible for administering, coordinating, planning, organizing, directing, staffing and evaluation of the overall activities and personnel of Respiratory Care, Neuro-diagnostic Services, and Sleep Disorders Center.
You will determine the objective and goals for the departments and formulate policies and procedures to achieve and insure adherence to quality assurance standards.- You will prepare and submit the annual capital and operating budget for approval, including but not limited to selection of capital equipment purchases.
- You will prepare and maintain personnel, purchasing and other related records and reports.
- You will provide in-service training and promote opportunities for the growth and development of departmental personnel. Also, approves personnel promotions, demotions, transfers, hiring and firing. Conducts employee performance evaluations; reviews, evaluates and revises department job descriptions.
- You will monitor the quality of patient care services/ procedures and preparation/submission of necessary technical or administrative reports.
- You will determine department annual quality improvement while monitoring, collecting/interpreting data and submitting quarterly reports.
What qualifications you will need:
A.A.S. degree from accredited Respiratory Care Program required.- Current Texas License for Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- BCLS certified required.
- At least two years management experience preferred.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist Eligible (RRT), or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP), or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
