Logistics Account Coordinator

Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a Logistics Account Coordinator to join their growing team in the Chicago area. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with potential for career advancement, including a clear pathway to Account Executive or Account Manager roles if desired. The Logistics Account Coordinator will manage account coordination and logistics tasks. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and in the office.

Logistics Account Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to emails and phone inquiries related to logistics and account management
• Manage transportation logistics through TMS (Transportation Management System), updating events, tracking shipments and resolving delivery issues
• Process customer paperwork and accurately upload documentation into the database
• Assist with sourcing and compliance tasks, such as obtaining updated vendor insurance certificates and comparing service costs
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a smooth customer experience
• Conduct basic analytics and information gathering to support decision-making and problem-solving
• Maintain organized and detailed customer records to ensure compliance with company policies

Logistics Account Coordinator Requirements:

• High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree is a plus
• Prior experience in dispatching, logistics operations or shipment coordination is highly desirable
• Experience working within a third-party logistics company is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with TMS or other logistics software is a plus
• Strong communication skills with an extroverted personality for phone interactions
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and a drive to succeed are essential
