As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Toast POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and handling.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
- Utilize time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment focused on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to food preparation and handling in the café setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
