Laser Technologies, Inc., a leading precision metal manufacturer located in Naperville, Illinois is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Team.
Summary:
Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment and machines in fast paced manufacturing facility to keep the plant running smoothly. Technician will also be involved in the set-up and installation of new equipment.
Job Description:
1. Read, diagnose and repair machinery and equipment using hand tools and other equipment
2. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery
3. Read electrical schematics and other documents to assist in diagnosing and repairing machinery and equipment
4. Set-up and installation of new equipment, including but not limited to running air lines, gas lines, and power, and making final connections.
5. Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties
6. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe working environment.
7. Perform other duties as required by management.
8. Knowledge of CNC Industrial Laser Systems Repair & Maintenance is a plus.
9. Controlling and programming PLCs is a plus.
Qualifications:
1. Formal training leading to journeyman status in Machine Repair, or equivalent
2. Advanced equipment troubleshooting skills
3. Knowledge of ISO9001:2008, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, Stamping, Cutting, Forming, Grinding, Tool Sharpening, Milling, Welding, Blueprint Reading, Electrical Schematics
4. Must be able to operate basic metrology equipment, grease guns, cranes, grinders, stamping presses, drill presses, punch presses, hand tools, and equipment related to the maintenance and repair of equipment and machines
5. Must be able to think logically to analyze situations.
6. Must be able to work quickly and accurately to meet schedules.
7. Must be manually adept.
8. Must be able to communicate by oral/written means.
9. Must have an excellent working knowledge of machines, how to set-up and operate complex equipment.
10. Work requires attention to safety practices and procedures.
11. Requires at least five years’ experience in Maintenance field.
12. High School Diploma or equivalent, with ability to use advanced math, and read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
