Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking two FP&A Interns for our West Chester, PA headquarters. The summer internship will run from mid- May to mid- August.
The FP&A interns will work closely with our FP&A team to support strategic decision-making processes, develop financial models, analyze financial data, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. The FP&A interns will work closely with our FP&A team to support strategic decision-making processes, develop financial models, analyze financial data, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow while making a meaningful impact.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes including analysis, interpretation, and communication of results
- Helps develop effective reports, presentations, and analyses for use by management and external stakeholders
- Helps develop, analyze, and reconcile statistical and accounting information for monthly and quarterly financial statement reviews
- Assesses operating results in terms of profitability and performance against plan/prior year to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities
- Participates in annual strategic planning and budgeting, periodic forecasting, and management reporting processes
- Helps create appropriate metrics/KPIs, reporting tools, and dashboards that give insight into the performance of the business
- Works cross-functionally to incorporate financial and strategic analysis into key business decisions
- Analyzes financial data to explain variance drivers, including revenue and gross margin volume/rate/mix analysis
- Results-oriented, with a very strong drive and work ethic and commitment to excellence
- Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do the work required for success
- Outstanding analytic skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity, and the ability to engage cross-functionally in addressing business issues
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character with a high energy level, a strong work ethic, and a passion for his/her work
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- This role is intended for students entering their senior year of undergraduate study
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with PowerBI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced work environment.
- Prior internship experience in finance or related field is a plus.
