We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, HVAC units, and building infrastructure using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues utilizing skills in welding, mechanical knowledge, and the use of tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults.
- Conduct electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and improve manufacturing processes.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, residential painting, and general repairs to maintain a safe environment.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, coordinating with team members or contractors as needed.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS software for tracking work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Support manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime through quick response to equipment failures or malfunctions.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and stakeholders regarding maintenance status or safety concerns.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong background in mechanical repair, electrical systems, or building infrastructure.
- Demonstrated proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, welding techniques, and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance teams is preferred to support project coordination and team development.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience in residential painting or general facilities upkeep is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective collaboration across teams.
