Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and reliability across our manufacturing or facilities environment. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, HVAC units, and building infrastructure using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues utilizing skills in welding, mechanical knowledge, and the use of tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults.
• Conduct electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and improve manufacturing processes.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, residential painting, and general repairs to maintain a safe environment.
• Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, coordinating with team members or contractors as needed.
• Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS software for tracking work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
• Support manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime through quick response to equipment failures or malfunctions.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and stakeholders regarding maintenance status or safety concerns.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong background in mechanical repair, electrical systems, or building infrastructure.
• Demonstrated proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, welding techniques, and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance teams is preferred to support project coordination and team development.
• Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience in residential painting or general facilities upkeep is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective collaboration across teams.
