Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Patrol Deputy located in Moscow, ID. The Patrol Deputy will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, conducting investigations, enforcing laws and ordinances, and providing a visible law enforcement presence. The role also involves preparing reports, making arrests, and testifying in court as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in law enforcement procedures, criminal investigation, and patrol techniques
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and ordinances
- Patrol Certification through Idaho POST or the availability to transfer from another state
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate law enforcement equipment and vehicles
- High physical fitness level and ability to pass a physical examination
- High school diploma or GED; completion of law enforcement training academy
- Previous law enforcement experience is required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
