Description
The Assistant/Associate Director of Enrollment Management assists in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid with a focus on middle and upper school admissions. The Associate Director works with administrators, faculty and staff to design, coordinate and develop the enrollment management process consistent with Latin’s mission and philosophy. This is a 10 or a 12-month position.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruit and maintain lines of communication with prospective and applicant families
- Conduct applicant and parent/guardian interviews
- Manage set-up and operations for enrollment management events, including, but not limited to, the annual Open House, information sessions, campus tours and yield events
- Attend school fairs/outreach events and manage relationships with schools in Chicago
- Work with student ambassadors, parent/guardian and faculty volunteers to further Latin’s recruitment efforts
- Liaise with other departments such as Communications, Development and Alumni Relations, Facilities, Divisional Offices etc.
- Collect and analyze data/feedback in relation to Latin’s enrollment processes
- Review applications and serve as a leader on the admissions committee
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and communication skills, comfortable speaking in front of audiences
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential materials
- Energy, enthusiasm, friendliness and a sense of humor
- Computer proficiency
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Some experience in admissions/enrollment management, preferably in the independent school sector
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience working with Chicago schools and families in a JK-12 setting
- Experience working with enrollment management databases
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to travel throughout Chicagoland and handle admission materials
