Position Title: Teacher in Training
Reports To: Early Childhood Workforce Development Manager
Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $16.36/Hourly; Non-exempt 20 hours per week

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Latino Network seeks a bilingual, bi-cultural mission-driven professional with proven nonprofit and community experience to provide educational support to Juntos Aprendemos in delivering programming to children and parents. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position with the capacity to impact the lives of Latino youth and their families. POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is critical to the continued growth and sustainability of Latino Network’s early childhood programs. The Teacher in Training works with the Juntos Aprendemos team, providing direct support to preschool aged children and their parents, engaging them in educational activities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Juntos Aprendemos team with day-to-day program delivery, working directly with young children and their parents/families.
- Prepare program materials as needed for internal organization and in preparation for programming.
- Support with the set up and clean up for regular programming and events
- Attend all supervision meetings, team meetings, Latino Network meetings, and trainings.
- Maintain clear, open, respectful communication with co-workers, children and families.
- Conduct outreach for programming throughout the year and especially during the summer
- Enter outreach information into ETO

- One year or more experience as a volunteer in Juntos Aprendemos is preferred
- One year or more experience as a participant in Juntos Aprendemos preferred
- No minimum level or formal education required
- No paid work experience is required.
- Experience working with the community is desirable
ADDITIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of initial and ongoing employment screens, including but not limited to criminal background and vehicle record as required
- Evening and weekend availability is required. Work hours are flexible to accommodate program implementation; long hours during peak periods.
- Reliable transportation is required. Automobile, driver’s license, and automobile liability insurance preferred; must be eligible to be an insured driver under Latino Network’s Commercial Auto Liability (or become eligible within three months of date of hire).
- Hybrid work environment. Ability to regularly report to physical in person work location including office and in the community (schools, churches, parks, community centers, etc.) as needed.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
