As a frontline employee, a Housekeeping Utility Worker is also expected to notice safety hazards, maintenance issues, and other resident issues and report them to their supervisor. They are to work closely with all departments including but not limited to nursing, maintenance, and dining to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
- Ability to maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.
- Knowledge of common housecleaning equipment such as but not limited to vacuums, mops, extractors, burnishes, etc.
- Mop and wax floors.
- Shampoo and extract carpets.
- Garbage removal from the trash rooms and other areas.
- Clean meeting areas and assist with event set up.
- Move furniture throughout the building.
- Help transport items through facility.
- Maintain equipment, utility rooms, and storage areas in a clean and safe manner and report to supervisor if these conditions are not met.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Three to six months experience in housekeeping or janitorial position preferred.
All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
