Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimize staff efficiency while meeting guest expectations.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff performance and inventory usage.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning practices, and janitorial procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Previous hotel experience is highly desirable; custodial experience in similar environments will also be considered an asset.
