Salary Range: $17.00 to $18.00

If yes, how you will contribute to the team:
As a Behavioral Specialist, you will serve on a clinical interdisciplinary team to represent & advocate for each participant’s behavioral health needs. The Behavioral Specialist will play a critical role by fulfilling these stated responsibilities:
- Collects data on all programming participation, response to activity and psychoeducational groups.
- Works directly with residents to achieve highest level of functioning possible.
- Maintains visual awareness of resident's physical and psychiatric limitations and ensures the safety of residents at all times.
- Monitors resident's attendance at assigned groups and activities and maximizes resident participation through appropriate motivational techniques.
- Goes on community outings as needed and scheduled as an incentive for resident behavior.
- Identifies and collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team, physicians and consultants and community agencies to identify opportunities for enhanced services to the residents and/or resolve issues.
- Promotes teamwork, mutual respect and effective communication. Promotes positivity and daily problem-solving skills.
Must Have:
- Must Have a High School Diploma
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment or Mental Health
