Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse - Admissions to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and evaluations of patients during the admission process. Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care as they transition into our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various nursing specialties, including acute pain management and experience with children, as well as familiarity with memory care and trauma medicine.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission to determine medical history and current health status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform venipuncture and other necessary procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care options.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide support for patients in various settings, including hospital environments, memory care units, and home community care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in acute pain management, trauma medicine, or pediatric intensive care (PICU) preferred.
- Familiarity with occupational health practices is a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient-centered care.
- Prior experience in medical office settings or home community care is desirable.
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings as mandated by healthcare regulations.

Pay: $38.00 - $46.00 per hour
