Laurel Springs Animal Hospital, a privately owned practice located in south Forsyth County, is looking for a part-time experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician with the potential to go to full time. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

- must be able to communicate well with clients in person, via text, and on the phone.
Our Assistant/ Technician applicant must demonstrate proficiency in the following skills:
- Communicating with clients to take accurate patient histories and pertinent information about patients
- Successfully holding patients for exams, blood draws, and radiographs
- Administering medications
- Collecting urine and fecal samples
- Performing anal gland expressions
- Trimming nails
- Reading fecal float/direct and heartworm tests
- Setting up cytologies for ear/ skin slides
- Running urinalysis and bloodwork
- Drawing blood
- Running lab work
- Placing catheters
- Dispensing medications accurately
- Taking digital radiography
- Assisting in surgery
- Helping with housekeeping and maintenance
Education:
- High school Diploma / GED and higher
Salary:
- From $15 /hour, based on experience and qualifications

Hospital hours:
· Monday through Friday 8:15am-5:30pm, closing for lunch from 12:30pm-1:30pm
· Saturday 8:15am-12:30pm.
