CNC Programmer / Operator - Full time
A local international manufacturing company is looking for a motivated machinist to assist our present staff with new and existing production requirements. Seeking a promising individual in the greater Philadelphia area for this full-time, on-site position.
Job Functions:
- Setup & edit programs for CNC lathes and mills.
- Oversee machine operators to produce production parts.
- Generate CNC programming for machined products for CNC lathes and mills.
- Setup machines timely and deliver 1st piece component prior to running production.
- Interface with purchasing and outside vendors for the proper selection of tooling, raw materials.
- Assemble and finish prototype/production components for internal and external use.
- Assist engineering with machining input for producibility of new or developing products.
- Develop and implement new machining techniques, equipment and tools to improve efficiency.
- Cross-train on other machines / equipment.
- Run multiple machines to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machine process and adjust as needed.
- Maintain safety protocol at all times.
- Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
- Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications to ensure consistency and discard defects.
- Bring knowledge of manual and computer-controlled machinery.
- Modify programs in response to problems.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma required
- Associates Degree or Certification a plus
Experience:
- 5 years’ experience
- Mastercam experience preferred, not required
- Programming experience preferred, not required
- Essential computer skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
Special Skills or Characteristics Required:
- Can setup & revise CNC lathe and mill drawings
- Able to read & interpret drawings
