About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Case Manager to manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement. This role is perfect for someone who can handle both advanced casework and the day-to-day basics, ensuring cases move forward efficiently and successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of pre-litigation cases, ensuring smooth progression from start to resolution
- Handle client intake, case openings, and initial file setup, including gathering ambulance and ER bills and records.
- Handling subrogation including: opening and gathering bills and liens from Medi-Cal, Medi-Care (A/B/C&D), health-insurance subrogation
- Oversee medical treatment coordination, assisting with demand preparation, and negotiations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and reassured
- Communicate effectively with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and attorneys
- Negotiate liens with medical providers to maximize client settlements
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files using personal injury case management software
- Work closely with attorneys to evaluate cases, strategize settlements, and transition to litigation when needed
- Support and mentor other staff as necessary
What We’re Looking For:
- case management experience
- Proven ability to handle a large caseload independently
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, medical terminology, and insurance negotiations
- Experience using personal injury case management software (e.g. Casepeer. FileVine, Clio, or similar)
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- A problem-solver who can proactively manage case challenges and keep things moving
