LaweLawe Defense is seeking a remote Java Developer to serve on a team supporting our customer, the U.S. Army Human Resources Command in Fort Knox, KY. The developer will be a part of a close team that is maintaining, enhancing and upgrading a myriad of applications and services, in an enterprise environment. As part of team, you will participate in design, development, threat modeling and cybersecurity and fielding of enterprise solutions to support the customer.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Under general direction, designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code using Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and XML for software components of the web applications
- Works project team members to develop the concept, interface design, and architecture of the websites
- Responsible for interface implementation
- Integrates web applications with back-end databases
- Deploys large web-based transaction systems using application servers
- Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the integration of new products per production and client requirements
- Designs, writes, and maintains unit tests such as JUnit, Jasmine, SoapUI, or Selenium
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in a matrixed, high-functioning environment as a Software Developer.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar; Associates degree or two year tech school with a minimum of 2 years experience
- CompTIA Security certification required
- Proficiency in Java Design patterns (MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, etc.)
- Skilled in using Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQLServer, Sybase, or similar databases
- Competent with version control tools such as Git
- Familiarity with supporting Java Virtual Machine (JVMs) in Unix/Linux/Windows environments
- Knowledgeable in modern User Interface (UI) technologies such as Angular, React, and Bootstrap
- Adept with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and npm
- Expertise in frameworks and tools such as Hibernate and Spring
- US Citizenship required
- Secret clearance required
