Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze budget performance, expenditures, and forecasts to identify trends and variances
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, budget summaries, and variance analyses
- Assist in the development and execution of budget proposals and financial plans
- Collaborate with departments to gather financial data and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements
- Ensure compliance with the Federal budget process, appropriations law, and organizational financial policies
- Utilize MS Excel and ITRAK for budget tracking, reporting, and data analysis
- Support internal and external financial audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, mathematics, or a related field (coursework in economics and statistics is a plus)
- 3-5 years of experience in budget formulation, analysis, and execution
- Strong knowledge of the Federal budget process and appropriations law
- Proficiency in analytical thinking and data analysis
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and familiarity with iTRAK
- Excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical and writing skills
- Effective communication and time management abilities
- Experience working with or in a government organization
- Advanced knowledge of economic or statistical modeling techniques
- Certifications in budgeting, finance, or data analysis (e.g., CBA, CFA, CGFM)
- Familiarity with other financial management or accounting software
