What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent position at Lawrence General Hospital Health System?
As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for the procurement of supplies, services and equipment required for the hospital#s operation. Provide financial support for the business and operations functions of the purchasing department. Researches, creates, compiles and analyzes financial information for supply chain operations and adheres to all financial goals. Responsible for the maintenance of assigned modules and expense tracking to assure the materials management processes flow through the facilities operating system. # DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ### #Creates purchase orders and processes requisitions for facility supply needs. ### #Interact with various dept managers and stakeholders, as well as outside vendors, to achieve maximum cost reporting, accurate price alignment and quantity ordered requests. ### #Works with vendors and distributors to ensure product delivery and secure confirmed arrival time to meet facility need.# ### #Maintains item dictionary and systems to ensure up to date vendor and product information. ### #Process departmental requests for products ### #Add new products into facility supply chain system. ### #Assist purchasing Dept. with assigned daily tasks. ### #Communicates with internal and external parties regarding data requests, materials management process and requisitioners setup. ### #Completes other tasks as assigned.
