The Cheese and Charcuterie Cook ensures the highest quality food is prepared per the exact recipe specifications at all times as assigned by the Executive Chef/GM. The Cheese and Charcuterie Cook will support the overall meat and cheese menu program they are preparing as directed by the Executive Chef/GM. This person must be knowledgeable and able to educate co-workers and guests about the program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- A minimum of 1-2 years prior experience creating amazing plates and trays of curated meats and cheeses required.
- Must be able to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Cheese and Charcuterie Cook candidates must have above average knife skills and must display station organization.
- Required to count a daily inventory of all products within the meat and cheese program with all information provided to the Executive Chef in a timely manner.
- Conduct research on-site on meat and cheese trends.
- Provide recommended weekly orders to the Executive Chef.
- Must be able to stay cool under pressure and be a team player.

- Able to handle high-volume activity with calm and grace
- Focused on detail management and completion of tasks; ability to prioritize effectively.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Shows confidence, energy, and enthusiasm with a professional, clean appearance, and a friendly, helpful, approachable demeanor.
- Satisfactory physical and mental health to perform the requirement of the job, and to work with the public in compliance with applicable foodservice health and safety regulations.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the assigned position with or without reasonable accommodation, and within company policy.
- Able to stand and walk for up to eight (8) hours during a shift (with limited breaks); carry up to 100 lbs. and exert up to 150 lbs. of force without straining; and sustain repetitive motions of legs, feet, waist, back, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and fingers.
- Be available and willing to work all scheduled shifts within the priority scheduling and seniority systems as established at each location, including working weekends and holidays.
- Capable of communicating with others, able to express and exchange ideas in spoken and written English in an average manner.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Able to listen and follow instructions carefully.
- Capable of following basic recipes.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Experience:
- At least two (2) years of previous experience in a high-end dinning establishment is required. Must be able to read scales.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Local/State Food Handler’s Training Certifications as required
Computer Skills: Basic familiarity with computers and calculators.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Some college or culinary education beneficial.
Salary Range: $19-$21/hour
