What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at LCS?

This role requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption as a condition of employment.

Under general direction, the HR Assistant provides administrative support throughout the recruitment life-cycle and is an integral part of the HR Services & Talent Management team, focused on attracting top talent and ensuring a positive experience for both our candidate and employees. In addition, the HR Assistant will provide support to the HR team and administer various HR Programs.

The Role:

  • Supports the recruitment and onboarding processes by administering background checks and ensuring effective communication with both managers and new hires to foster an engaging onboarding experience
  • Maintains basic knowledge of HR processes/programs and serves as a resource to employees and managers on routine human resources matters via the HR email inbox
  • Administer various HR programs such as education assistance and service awards
  • Maintains records of personnel-related data in both paper and HCM Cloud to ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Provides administrative support to HR team including but not limited to: distributing mail, processing invoices, calendaring, etc.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects

Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and/or history of continuing education, job responsibilities or relevant experience
  • One (1) year of Human Resources experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources
  • Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and a self-starter
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong MS Office Skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Positive attitude and natural aptitude for people
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
