What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional position at Le Sueur-Henderson Public Schools?
- Park/Hilltop Elementary Schools, within the Le Sueur-Henderson Public School District, is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional. This position will work with special ed. students in a resource room setting and general education classrooms.
- Assist teachers in the delivery of preschool instruction
- 2 or 4 year degree, minimum high school diploma
- Work effectively with students and staff; cooperative working style and good organizational skills
- Assist case manager
- Perform any duties as prescribed in a student's Individual Educational Plan
- Support and monitor students' work (Individually or in group) in content areas
- Provide feedback to the case manager on student performance
- Attend meetings and/or training as requested
- Monitor children to support district-wide behavioral expectations
- Proctor assessments as requested
- Attend CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training and maintain CPI certification
- Maintain certifications as required
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position
