The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) is a privately-owned wholesale bank that helps community lenders in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands advance housing and community growth. The FHLBNY membership is comprised of commercial banks, savings banks, savings and loans, credit unions, insurance companies and community development financial institutions. The FHLBNY is part of the Congressionally-chartered, nationwide Federal Home Loan Bank System, which was created in 1932 to provide a flexible liquidity source for member community lenders engaged in home mortgage and neighborhood lending. The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York is looking for a Mortgage Asset Program Business Partner to join the (MAP) team. This role will be responsible to maintain effective operation of the MAP vendor relationships to efficiently meet the technical and business requirements of MAP and the bank. Monitor and train members on vendor reporting metric tools as well as provide support for all the FHFA regulatory and internal bank reporting requirements Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Interact with Financial Risk Management and Investment & Portfolio Management groups in evaluating new program features and the potential risks Participate in the management and proactively monitoring of MAP single pool and MAP aggregate pool master commitments in addition to the PFI sub-master commitments for the aggregate pool participants Collaborate with financial risk management and monitor updates of S&P LEVELS and analyze impact of model changes on AMA programs and assist with IT updates for model changes Analyze surveys, assessments and gather data to measure the value of the MAP vendor utilization and identify program gaps Assist in the mandatory FHFA reporting requirements in addition to all other internal AMA reporting. Monitor reporting inquiries from the members and recommend enhancements to the AMS dashboards. Responsible for generating the available reports from the other vendor portals and develop a reporting timeline and cycle for the stakeholders of the MAP team. Respond to ad hoc reporting requests by management Create a set of MAP power point presentations for marketing efforts Provide back-up in the department as necessary Assume additional responsibilities and duties as assigned. Requirements: Skills- Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro, use of AMS software; Collateral Asset System, Microsoft SQL, VBA and PowerQuery and data queries Perform analytical analysis for projects and reports Outstanding communication (written and verbal), presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills; keen attention to detail with the capability of producing high quality, pieces of work. Proven ability to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines without compromising quality Project Management experience Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight, both individually and as part of a team Detailed knowledge of residential mortgage industry/banking and servicing is a plus Understanding of credit risk transfer for residential loans Sound quality assurance skills and good understanding of the impact of changes to system performance Familiarity with the life cycle of a mortgage loan from origination to servicing Solid research, analytical and multi-tasking skills that result in solid decision making skills and time management Demonstrated experience in gathering and translating business requirements into solution design proposals Strong background in data analysis/mapping. This role requires regular interaction with IT Users. Education – Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting required with advanced degree in related field preferred. Experience- Minimum of five years in the mortgage industry; mortgage origination, mortgage underwriting, and mortgage servicing preferable in a client facing role; Correspondent lending and secondary mortgage market a plus Minimum of five years in a business analysis function, with expertise with different technologies Skills:
