JOB SUMMARY The Ambulatory Clinical Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for the clinical leadership role. Assumes first line managerial responsibilities related to clinical care, reports directly to the Director, Surgical Procedural Services. Is responsible and accountable for the delivery of care, development of policies and procedures, standards of care and protocols. Assigns, directs and evaluates the work of the health care clinical staff assigned to a specific area in accordance with the clinical policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of Saint Francis Healthcare System. Provides strong leadership, motivation, staff development, serves as a resource consultant for their clinical specialty, and works to achieve continuity of care within practice setting and coordination of care for targeted patients during and between established patient visits. Supervises all clinical staff activity in ambulatory clinics such as rooming, clinical documentation, patient education and clinical support activities. Provides clerical, administrative, fiscal and marketing support. Supervises and manages all physician practice activities such as staff and physician scheduling, patient throughput and billing functions. Commonly interacts with physicians, clients, patients and other departments with service excellence. JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: - Associate's degree in nursing- required - Bachelor's degree in nursing- preferred. Certification & Licensures: - Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Missouri - BLS Certification Experience: - 3-5 years ambulatory clinical experience preferred with evidence of clinical competencies for acceptance into role. - Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with diverse customer groups. - Strong problem solving skills and exceptional team dynamic skills. - Excellent organization skills with intensely accurate follow through. - Working knowledge of full range of physician practice clinical operations resulting in efficient throughput and quality patient experience.
