Job Summary Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute employees' time worked, production and commissions. May compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks. Job Description Hybrid schedule- 4 days required in Southlake office for first 90 days. 401K with match Vacation, sick time, personal time, and holidays Health, Dental, and vision Essential Functions 1. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports 2. Manage work flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely 3. Perform daily payroll department operations 4. Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits 5. Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance 6. Execute time sheets and attendance processing and interface with payroll 7. Perform compliance for unclaimed property payroll checks 8. Process manual check and relocation metrics 9. Update and reconcile monthly bank statements 10. Research and email appropriate audience of file issues 11. Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary 12. Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed Knowledge and Skills 1. ADP, Pro business software payroll processing experience 2. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred 3. Union knowledgeable 4. Working knowledge of payroll best practices 5. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations 6. Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel 7. Strong work ethic and team player 8. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material 9. Strong interpersonal communication skills 10. Ability to communicate with various levels of management 11. Decision-making 12. Problem-solving 13. Analytical skills 14. Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Education and Work Experience 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 2. 5 years’ experience processing multi-state payroll Work Environment 1. Small-to-large office environment 2. Fast paced office environment 3. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate 4. Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear or smell. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 40 lbs. of equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
