Accounting Technician Jr. – Department of Veteran Affairs, Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP), Hines, IL
Specific tasks include:
· Serves as a team lead or senior team member, working in concert to provide professional accounting and financial management services to Federal, State & Local, and other Government clients.
· Possess a general understanding of the U.S. Standard General Ledger, Federal financial statements, and Federal budget execution.
· Be able to function as a subject matter expert to efficiently reconcile and remedy fiscal discrepancies.
· Under minimal supervision, be able to assess products and procedures for compliance with Government standards and financial management regulations.
Qualifications:
· Must possess a Bachelors Degree.
· Must possess 5 years’ experience.
· Must be able to understand how to perform basic mathematical calculations.
· Have basic typing and PC computer skills.
· Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
· Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound skills in written and oral communication is a must.
· Must be able to pass a Federal background check
Physical and Mental Qualification Requirements
· Work requires frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel and operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
· Frequently required to sit, talk or hear.
· Typing and keyboarding proficiency with ability to type at least 20 words per minute.
